Common Refrigerator Problems and How to Fix Them

Oh we all know the hassle of having issues with your refrigerator, from hearing strange noises to fluctuations in the temperature which can really disrupt your daily routine.

Let’s get into 3 common problems and how to fix them:

1. Leaking Water: There are two reasons this could happen - one is a clogged or frozen defrost drain. To fix this, clear the drain tube using hot water and baking soda. The other reason is a fault water inlet valve, this would need replacement so contact a professional and you’re good.

2. Noises: Issues like this always have something to  do with “motors”, either the Condenser fan motor or  Evaporator fan motor. To fix a fault condenser fan motor, we recommend you clean the fan blades or replace it and for the evaporator fan motor, it’s best to replace it so you can go back to a quiet and peaceful life.

3. Temperature Fluctuations: This can be as a result of the malfunctioning of the temperature sensor, compressor or it may just be the thermostat settings. However, it’s one issue you want to fix as fast as you can. Why? Well, cause you don’t want to start having spoiled food

it’s best to reach a professional as soon as you can.
